Janine Mack: T.V. Journalist

Janine Mack is a currently News Writer at WPIX in New York City.

Previously, she was a cross platform associate producer at CNN in Atlanta. In this role, she trained and worked with various departments and platforms at CNN as a rotating associate producer. Before joining CNN full-time, Janine worked in as local news producer. Her stops included KOSA-CBS 7 News in West Texas and KTAL-NBC 6 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She also freelanced as an associate producer/writer at KTVT in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX and as a Desk Assistant/TelePrompTer at WABC-TV in New York City.

Janine has a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting-telecommunications-mass media (formerly radio-t.v.-film) from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa. and a master’s degree in broadcast and digital journalism from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY.

During college, Janine realized her interest in news while completing a production internship at WPVI in Philadelphia, Pa. After college, Janine freelanced as a desk assistant at PBS Newshour in Arlington, Va., at WWOR-TV in Secaucus, N.J. and at WOR News Radio.

Janine is a member of the Epsilon Alpha chapter of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Inc. Janine is also a member of the Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield, the National Association of Black Journalists, and the New York Association of Black Journalists.

Janine grew up in Newark, New Jersey, which is about 20 minutes from New York City.
